Effective date: August 15, 2026
This policy explains how DrinkLync, a Nashville, Tennessee based software company ("DrinkLync", "we", "us"), collects and uses information when you use the DrinkLync app and venue platform (together, the "Service") or this website, drinklync.com. We built DrinkLync to get drinks into hands faster, and we keep the data story equally simple: we collect what the Service needs to work, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
When you create a DrinkLync account we collect your name, email address, and phone number. Staff and venue accounts also carry a role (for example bartender, manager, or gatekeeper) and the venue they belong to.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. DrinkLync does not store your card number. We keep only what Stripe returns to us to run the Service: a payment token, the card brand and last four digits, and the payment status of each order. Stripe's handling of your data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
We keep a record of the orders you place: what you ordered, where, when, what it cost, and its pickup status. Venues see the order details they need to prepare and hand off your drinks.
DrinkLync is for adults 21 and over. When you sign up you confirm that you are 21 or older, and your ID is checked in person at pickup by venue staff, the same way it would be at the bar.
ID images. DrinkLync supports keeping a photo of the front and back of your government-issued ID on file, so venue staff can complete that visual check without you handing your ID over on every visit. Where an ID image is stored:
Optional selfie. You may choose to add a photo of your face to your account. This is opt-in, we record your consent when you do it, and it is stored with the same encryption and the same 90-day deletion as above. Its only purpose is to let pickup staff confirm the right person is collecting the drink. We do not currently perform automated face matching, and if that ever changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
You can have stored ID images or your selfie removed at any time by emailing help@drinklync.com, without deleting the rest of your account.
On this website we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this; you can block them in your browser or with Google's opt-out tool. In the app, we collect operational and diagnostic information (such as device type, app version, and error logs) to keep the Service reliable. We use this data in aggregate; we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
For venues on the platform we process business information: menus, pricing, station configuration, staff rosters, order throughput, and sales reporting. This data belongs to the venue and is visible to that venue's authorized staff according to their roles.
DrinkLync includes an AI assistant, Lync, which answers staff and guest questions and generates operational recommendations for venues — pricing headroom, prep lists, staffing suggestions, and menu insights drawn from that venue's own demand.
We share personal information only with the providers that run the Service, and with the venues you order from:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, venues, or the public. If DrinkLync is ever part of a merger or acquisition, user data would transfer under the same protections described here.
We keep account and order data while your account is active, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes such as tax, accounting, and dispute records. Diagnostic logs are kept on short rotation. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' standard retention schedule.
You can delete your DrinkLync account from inside the app, or at app.drinklync.com/account-deletion. Step by step instructions, including what is deleted and what we must keep, are on our data deletion page. You can also email help@drinklync.com and we will handle it for you. When you delete your account we remove your personal information from active systems; transaction records that the law requires us to keep are retained only as long as required.
Email help@drinklync.com for any of these. We reply within 1 business day.
The Service sells access to alcoholic beverage ordering and is strictly for adults 21 and over. No one under 21 may create an account or place an order. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
DrinkLync operates in the United States, and the Service is hosted in the United States. This policy is written for US users, with DrinkLync based in Tennessee. If you use the Service, your information is processed in the United States.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes will be called out here, not slipped in silently.
